Summer is finally here, and this is an amazing chance to read to your children in Spanish! Whether you are learning Spanish right alongside your children, or you are a bilingual family, there is something for everyone on this list. Señorita Mariposa

I love this bilingual book all about a Monarch’s journey to Mexico. An amazing way to teach your children more about migration and the magic  of mariposas. 

Si quieres ver una ballena

We absolutely love this sweet story about a child waiting patiently to see a whale. Refusing to be distracted by roses, pirates or pelicans, you have to keep your eyes to the sea. This is a favorite in our home.

This is a great Spanish book for beginners to read at home! The illustrations on this books are so fun and captivating. I love the sweet and simply story line and your children will too! Fun summer splashing in this short and sweet board book. 

¿Qué puedes hacer con una paleta?

Such a fun story to read during the summertime! Who doesn’t love an ice cold paleta when it’s hot out? Your children will love this story.

This is the perfect book for nature lovers! A great way to learn more about the outdoors, this book will teach you so many fun ways to enjoy your time outside. 

Dragones y Tacos

I always save this book to take out during summertime when the weather is hot and we eat tacos all the time. This books is so much fun for kids to read and I love the fun story. 

El loro Tico Tango

Such a fun story about friendship and sharing – we follow this parrot’s journey as they learn all about caring for others.  

Lola planta un jardín 

This is one of my favorites for summer reading! We love Lola and this story is perfect for any garden lovers in your home.

This interactive book is the perfect way to learn more about oceans with your kids! With so many flaps to lift and fun animals to learn about, this is one they will want to read over and over. 

Entonces llega el verano

This is a summertime staple! Talking about all the magical ways to enjoy summer with your family, this is a perfect book to have on hand as the weather warms up.

We love this silly story about a fish with a huge pout! You meet all kinds of different sea creatures as they try to make this fish feel better but the moral of the story is, sometimes all we need is a kiss or some kindness to turn our frowns upside down!
