I can honestly never have enough Christmas crafts, especially when they are quick and easy! I love decorating for the holidays, and my children are always wanting new ways to bring the season to life.

Kite paper is quickly becoming my favorite way to decorate our windows and the possibilities are endless! These origami kite paper Christmas trees come together in a matter of minutes and are a great project for any beginner.

We can strive for best practices, and always try to be doing more or to be doing it better, but the reality is that this worry about “doing it right” often stops us before we even really get started. Singing on Spanish song a day with your kids is better than doing nothing. Reading one Spanish book is better than not reading any. Don’t underestimate your efforts, no matter how small.   • 👇🏻Teach your kids Spanish with Spanish hand clapping games… The best thing I did today? Learned this Spanish vowel hand clapping game with my kids. Let’s be real with each other…today sucked. I was grumpy, my kids yelled, it felt like a total mess - EXCEPT for when we were learning this fun hand clapping game en español. We sang it the rest of the day and our calmest and happiest moments were playing this and singing in Spanish together. This whole hand clapping game goes through each vowel in Spanish and is SO much fun and perfect for young readers especially learning vowel sounds. If you had told me four years ago, in the depths of my depression, that I would create a business of my dreams creating nature based Spanish courses for kids, while hosting a Spanish podcast for kids and learning how to self publish cute Spanish versions of all the notebooks and journals I dream of as a bilingual mom - I NEVER would have believed you! Now we’re moving to Costa Rica in August, I’ve been able to homeschool my kids, help support my family, and teach Spanish in a way that makes my soul come alive. Life is good y’all, let’s be friends!
